It is vital in all cultural life to maintain a link between the present and the past. If there is anything that history makes clear it is this, that when a people becomes interested in its past life, seeks to acquire knowledge in order better to understand itself, it always experiences an awakening of new life.

May we all fly like eagles, "!!! The Legends, Chiefs and Prayers make for engrossing reading !!!" This site was created to pay tribute to the great nations of "The Indigenous Peoples of America." These pages have been dedicated to the indigenous people of America, who, with their great strength and courage have retained their culture even to this day and age, and have done so with pride. It bears testimony to their dedication and beliefs, therefore, it would be a tragedy should the culture they so tenaciously guarded fade through lack of interest and knowledge on the part of new generations; generations who shall never know what it is like to walk with the wind!!! Walk through these pages, always keeping in mind they are steeped in a culture; pure in its teachings, and alien to most. Community attitudes towards the Native Peoples of the U.S.A. changed gradually through: Appreciation of the fact that, irrespective of one's background, people, with all their complexities, have more things in common than in conflict. To some, the achievements of the Native Americans may seem trivial, but, in actual fact, they ensured and proved they could live in dignity and harmony with others, even though they had lost their lands: The lands that everyone needs to call home, for without them, they are devoid of any identity!! An accomplishment deserving of great merit! A wonderful Legacy to the future generations, both indigenous and foreign. Remember
remember the circle of the sky
remember the sacredness of things
It's in the spirit of a nation "Stunning reading for those who wish to glimpse a culture and lifestyle pure in its teaching, through the "Window to the Past,"and get to know the Great Chiefs, Legends,as well as the Sacred Ways, Prayers and Poetry of the native peoples of the U.S.A."
Flying so high,
Circling the universe,
On wings of pure light.
We are brothers and sisters,
Children of the light,
Here to make a better world,
For everyone's delight

(same with regular verses)
May we all love each other,
Each other as one,
Love will heal our mother earth,
Its only just begun.
May we all grow together,
Together as one,
This is the new age now
Sacred is the ground,
The forest, mountain, river,
Listen to the sound.
May we all be one family,
Open and true,
Clear with each other,
I and I and you
Chorus:
Hene-itch-ee-chi-o *another Chorus version*proverbs.html
May we all sing together,
Rejoicing in the sun,
We are children of the Rainbow,
Of the New Age begun

the stars and the bald eagle
the supernatural winds
breathing night and day
from the four directions
breathing on the earth
it lies upon the earth
to bring our life upon the earth
running streams and dwellings
the young within the nest
a hearth for sacred fire
the holy flame of fire

The Spirit
whose heart beats very strong.
They pay homage to the old ways
as their bondage to heritage,
homeland and love!
